Chicken in a Tray
This delicious juicy chicken is marinated overnight in a succulent garlic sauce then baked until beautifully tender with zesty lemon wedges. The aroma that fills the air will captivate your taste buds and the outcome is simply a treat!
Chicken in a Tray

Ingredients
- 4 split chicken breasts each cut in half width-wise
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 5 large garlic cloves minced
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp allspice
- Zest and juice of 2 lemons
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 full lemons cut into wedges
- 1/2 cup garlic cloves cut in half lengthwise
Instructions
- Tap the chicken breasts with the vinegar then rinse with cold water.
- Dry with a kitchen towel and set aside.
- In a bowl, place the minced garlic with the salt, paprika, allspice, lemon zest and juice and the olive oil. Mix well and add the chicken pieces.
- Fully coat them with the marinade. Cover the bowl tight and place it in the fridge. Let the chicken marinate overnight or up to 2 days.
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 C).
- Transfer the chicken pieces to a baking dish and place the lemon wedges and the garlic pieces in between them.
- Bake in the heated oven for 40 to 45 minutes until tender.
- Turn the broiler on and let the chicken pieces turn golden.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes.
