Viral Dubai Chocolate Bar
I am sure that you have heard of or seen reels of the Dubai chocolate bar that went viral recently on TikTok and that made everyone rave about trying it. If you are like me and you don’t live in Dubai, you must be curious about this dessert. I finally dared to attempt making it at home to be able to unveil what is so special about it. I am so glad I did! The process was so much fun and made me wonder why I don’t prepare more candy bars in the luxury of my own kitchen frequently!
Trust me you will feel the same way and it will make you proud that you have recreated this sweet masterpiece yourself!
Viral Dubai Chocolate Bar
Yield: 4 bars
Ingredients
- 3 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Kataifi
- 1 cup pistachio cream
For the pistachio cream
- 1 cup raw shelled pistachios
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt the chocolate stopping every 30 seconds and stirring until it’s silky and fully melted.
- Take your chocolate molds and pour a part of the melted chocolate all over the crevices. Wipe off any excess chocolate.
- Place the molds in the freezer for around 15 mns for the chocolate to harden. Keep the remaining melted chocolate on the side to use for the top layer.
- Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan and add the shredded kataifi. Cook stirring constantly until golden. Set aside.
- Make the pistachio cream: Place the pistachios in a food processor and add 1/4 cup of the milk and the powdered sugar. Blitz for 5 minutes stopping frequently to scrape off the edges with a spatula. Continue until you get a paste.
- Place the remaining milk in a saucepan with the butter and chocolate chips. Stir on low heat until the chocolate and butter are fully melted.
- Pour this mixture over the pistachio paste and blend until you get a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Mix the pistachio cream with the golden kataifi.
- Take the chocolate molds out of the freezer.
- Spread the pistachio-kataifi filling over the chocolate layer pressing it down and spreading it evenly.
- Pour the remaining melted chocolate over the filling and spread it evenly.
- Return the molds to the freezer for another 15 minutes.
- Once the chocolate has hardened, carefully remove the bars from the molds.
- Take a bite and enjoy!
Notes
To save for later, wrap each bar in foil and place in the freezer or fridge.
