Meatzza
Craving a pizza but watching your carbs? This is your recipe then! With a meaty crust and a rich flavorful cheese topping, this version is filling and delicious. Your taste buds will enjoy a great treat without the guilt of all the extra calories from the doughy crust!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground meat of your choice
- 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tbsp almond meal
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley chopped
- 2 eggs beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 4 oz Mozzarella cheese sliced
- Basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 C).
- In a large bowl, mix the meat with the Parmesan cheese, almond meal, parsley, eggs and salt and pepper to taste.
- Knead with your wet hands until well combined.
- Spread the meat mixture on a round pizza pan pressing with your fingers to cover the whole pan.
- Cook in the heated oven for 15 minutes then take out and get rid of all the liquid that might have been released from the meat.
- Mix the diced tomatoes with the oil, garlic and oregano.
- Spread on top of the meat crust.
- Arrange the mozzarella slices over the tomatoes in any order you like.
- Return the pan to the oven and cook for an additional 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese has melted.
- Remove the meatzza from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice and serve.
