One Big Brownie
This is a chocolatey gooey dessert that is easy to make and will be enjoyed by kids and adults alike. One Big Brownie
Yield: For a 10-inch Brownie
Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour sifted
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder sifted
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 3/4 cup butter cut into small pieces
- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 oz chocolate bar of your choice (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (177 C).
- Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
- Melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the chocolate chips and let stand for 1 minute then stir with a spatula until fully melted and smooth.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat the eggs on high speed with the sugars and vanilla until pale and fluffy (around 2 minutes).
- Gently add the chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and mix until fully incorporated.
- Pour the batter in the skillet or pan and sprinkle the chocolate bar cut into small pieces all over the top pressing down to let them adhere to the batter.
- Bake in the heated oven for around 30 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still moist.
- Remove from the oven and cool slightly.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
